My Independent Marylebone: Blandford Comptoir

Q&A with Sabrina Barreiros, Blandford Comptoir's group operations manager.

Tell us about your business?

Blandford Comptoir is a local bistro showcasing the very best, well sourced ingredients. The menu features a selection of meat, seafood and vegetarian dishes which change regularly; we also offer a set lunch menu for great value.

What makes your restaurant special?

The restaurant is founded by a Master Sommelier, so alongside every great dish, is a perfectly paired glass of wine. Xavier Rousset personally loves wine from the Rhone Valley, so there is a strong focus on that.

What is your favourite dish in your restaurant?

The raw red prawns! Giles Coren once tried them on one of our set lunch menus and subsequently described it as the “sexiest menu ever”. If that’s not your thing, then Marco’s homemade pasta is always pretty special.

What do you love about Marylebone Village?

The independent businesses and community feeling. There’s a different air when you step this side of Oxford Street and I think that’s due to the residents in the area. We have many regulars who live locally and we love it when they visit.

Where is your favourite place to eat?

La Fromagerie is perfect for a pit stop.
