Q&A with Richard Lewis, owner of V V Rouleaux. 

Tell us about your business?

V V Rouleaux is the leading ribbons, trimmings and accessories shop in Europe. We have supplied products to most of the well known high street and designer fashion retailers - Burberry, Dior, Alice Temperley are just a few of the brands we have recently supplied.

What makes your store special?

At V V Rouleaux we have highly knowledgeable staff that offer an incredible personal service - if we don't have exactly what you're looking for, we will make it for you. We also stock over 5,000 different ribbons and accessories in 5,000 colours.

Whether it is lengthening a skirt, creating hats for Ascot or finding the perfect ribbon for a bridesmaid’s dress, we can provide you with exactly what you need.

Occasionally we are asked to provide products for film and television costumes, and one of our favourite films we supplied was the Harry Potter series. We created the stripe down Harry Potter's Quidditch trousers - quite the claim to fame, huh?

What is your favourite item in your store?

It’s a toss up between the Ripe Plum double-sided velvet ribbon, and our Pitch Ombre Lampshade Fringe which would look great at home or swishing out for a cocktail.

What do you love about Marylebone Village?

The camaraderie and the community feel. Marylebone Village has everything you need from everyday essentials like newspapers and milk, to high street and designer fashion brands. It has a village vibe in the heart of central London.

What is your favourite memory in Marylebone Village?

It’s got to be opening the very first V V Rouleaux store at 6 Marylebone High Street, we had ribbons flying from the rooftops in pure V V Rouleaux style!

Where is your favourite place to eat?

Delamina! It’s a fantastic family run mediteranian restaurant on Marylebone Lane.
